Many of us are walking through life exhausted, carrying emotional weight, sin, anxiety, and fear that we were never meant to hold. God is not asking us to manage our burdens more carefully. He is asking us to throw them on Him completely. First Peter 5:7 uses a Greek word that means to hurl or fling with force, not to gently hand something over. True trust in God means making a deliberate, intentional decision to transfer the full weight of our burdens to Him and leave them there. Pride often keeps us from doing this, convincing us we can handle it on our own. But humility opens the door for God to move, and emptying ourselves makes us available to be used by Him. The peace described in Philippians 4:6-7 is not out of reach. It comes through prayer, petition, and the decision to truly let go.
