Following Jesus is not free. It requires real sacrifice, including friendships, comfort, convenience, and the approval of others. The very thing you are holding back from God is often the very thing He is asking for. Sin creates distance, not relief, and it steals the joy that only God can restore. Consistency is one of the greatest costs of the Christian life, because living for Christ is not a moment but a lifestyle. God is not looking for the most talented or polished. He is looking at the heart. The good news is that what God has prepared for those who love Him is beyond anything the human mind can fully grasp. The cost is real, but so is the reward.
