Life is full of storms, and no one is exempt from hardship. Scripture makes clear that trials come to everyone, but for those who trust God, there is a covering that keeps the storm from being the final word. Just as Jesus slept peacefully in the middle of a raging sea, God is never in a panic over what you are facing. He may allow the storm to continue for a season because He is using it to build your faith in ways that calm conditions never could. The key is not to let your reaction to the storm match the intensity of the storm itself. God invites you to cast every burden fully on Him, not gently hand it over, but throw it completely into His care. Your storm is not the end of your story. It is the beginning of a cry that God has been waiting to answer.
